Skyline Orthodontics Honored Once Again for Invisalign Research

On the recommendation of my doctoral advisor at the time, Prof. Wehrbein, I pursued additional training in periodontology—the study of the periodontium—including at the renowned University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). There, I was trained by, among others, Prof. Henry H. Takei, Distinguished Clinical Professor at the UCLA School of Dentistry and an internationally recognized expert in periodontology.

For many years, Prof. Takei ran a renowned private practice in the exclusive Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles—an area known worldwide for its many Hollywood stars and public figures. In addition, I was trained by Prof. Perry R. Klokkevold, then director of the UCLA Program in Periodontology. I also regularly completed clinical rotations at the periodontology practice of Dr. Todd Yamada in Los Angeles, who also serves as a faculty member at UCLA.

My commitment has always been—and remains—to excellence in orthodontics. Anyone who wants to do more than just move teeth—but rather provide long-term, healthy, safe, and stable treatment—must also understand the biological processes of the periodontium in great detail. It is precisely this in-depth knowledge of the gums, bone, and the biological principles of tooth movement that continues to inform every treatment plan at Skyline Orthodontics Frankfurt to this day.

This allows our patients to benefit from scientifically sound, exceptionally gentle, and precise treatment with aligners and braces—at the cutting edge of modern orthodontics in Frankfurt am Main. Before completing my specialty training in orthodontics, I also worked as a general dentist for about five years and received additional training in implantology from the International Team for Implantology (ITI) in London, among other places—a background that continues to help me understand the broader context of dentistry as a whole.
